Budget is a personal finance tracking app for iOS. This policy explains what data the app handles and how it is used.
Budget does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with the developer or any third party. The app has no analytics SDK, no advertising framework, and no backend server operated by the developer.
All data you enter — transactions, categories, vendors, vacations, and settings — is stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. To enable sync between your own devices and to protect your data against loss if you reinstall the app or get a new device, Budget also stores a copy of this data in your private iCloud database via Apple's CloudKit service.
When you are signed in to iCloud on your device, Budget automatically synchronises your data with iCloud using Apple's CloudKit framework. The following applies to this sync:
The app also offers a manual backup/export function that writes your data to a file on your device. Such files are under your control and are never uploaded by the app.
Budget does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. Apple's CloudKit is used solely as the storage and sync layer for your private data and is not a third-party in the conventional sense — it is the same iCloud service that backs your other built-in iOS apps.
The app does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Because no data is collected by the developer, the app is safe for users of all ages in this regard.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
